Is there a trial before I pay?
There is no trial to run out. The Starter plan is free for as long as you want it — open an account and start selling, with no credit card. Growth and Business are paid plans you can move to later if you outgrow it; you are never moved onto one automatically.
Is there any commission on sales?
No. Hekana takes no commission on your sales, however much you sell. And the Starter plan itself is free, so if you stay on it the only fees you pay are your payment gateway's and your shipping company's.
Can I change my plan at any time?
Yes. You can start on the free Starter plan and stay on it with no time limit, or change your plan whenever you like. Upgrades take effect immediately.
What payment methods are available for the subscription?
We accept Fawry, Vodafone Cash, credit cards, and bank transfer.
What's the difference between a subdomain and a custom domain?
A subdomain is yourstore.hekana.com and comes with every plan. A custom domain is yourstore.com — connecting one to your store is included in every plan, the free Starter plan included, but you buy the domain itself.
Is the domain price included in the subscription?
No. The domain's annual registration fee goes to the registrar and is not part of your subscription. You can buy the domain straight from your dashboard at cost — the price depends on the extension (.com, .store, .eg and others) and is shown before you pay. If you already own a domain, connecting it costs nothing.
Does Hekana set the shipping prices?
No. Hekana provides integration with shipping companies (Bosta, Aramex, and others) — shipping prices are set directly by the shipping company based on your agreement with them.
Why is Hekana cheaper?
Hekana is built specifically for the Egyptian market, and the Starter plan is free outright. Instead of paying 3,000+ EGP a month for a platform built for another market you start with no subscription at all — and if you grow and decide to move to a paid plan, our highest published price is 599 EGP a month.
