Hekana apps: how to install, turn on and manage them

A Hekana app adds one capability to your store without you building anything: email campaigns, automations, marketing images, selling through AI assistants. You install it from your dashboard in one click, set it up, and turn it off or remove it whenever you want.

This guide covers the part that is the same for every app: where to find them, what installing does, what it costs, and how to manage what you installed.

What a Hekana app is

The apps in the Hekana App Store are built by Hekana. They run inside your store and your dashboard, so there is no code to paste and no account on another site to connect.

An app can be:

• Free, with nothing to pay at any point.
• Free to install, paid by use. You pay only for what you use, for example per generated image or per pack of emails.
• A monthly subscription, charged on a schedule.

Every charge is in EGP and comes out of your store wallet. The price is shown on the app's card before you install, so there is nothing to discover later.

Where to find the App Store

In the dashboard sidebar, open Apps. The page is called Hekana App Store.

• Use Search the store... if you know the app's name.
• Use the category list to browse by what you want to do, such as marketing or sales.
• Each card shows the app's name, a one-line description and its price badge: Free, Free to install, or From X/mo.
• Press View details on a card to open the app's page.

Apps you have already installed are listed under Installed apps.

Install an app, step by step

1. Open Apps and press View details on the app you want.
2. Read the pricing block on the page. It tells you if the app is free, free to install with per-use charges, or a monthly plan, and notes that all charges are billed in EGP.
3. Press Install. A short message confirms App installed.
4. Press Configure or Open to go to the app's own settings page and finish the setup. Each app page lists what you need before you start.

Turn an app off, or remove it

On the app's page the status shows On or Off.

• Turn off stops the app without removing it. Turn on starts it again.
• Uninstall removes it. You are asked to confirm: the app stops running on your store and its settings are removed. You can install it again at any time.

If you only want a break, turn it off. Uninstall when you are sure, because the settings go with it.

Some apps are marked Running on your store by default. They are already part of the store and have nothing to install.

What it costs, and where the money comes from

• Free apps never charge.
• Pay-per-use apps are free to install. The page shows the unit, for example per image, and each use is taken from your store wallet.
• Monthly apps show their plans with the monthly price and what each plan includes. The monthly fee is taken from your wallet.

If your wallet is empty, usage-based and monthly apps cannot charge, so keep an eye on the balance if you use them.

Some apps also depend on your Hekana plan. If an app needs a plan you do not have, you will see an upgrade prompt where Install would be. See the plans and prices.

If an app shows Not available, it cannot be installed yet. Nothing is wrong with your account.

The apps you can use today

• Hekana Flow is free. When something happens in your store, it does something for you, such as sending a WhatsApp message when an order ships. Read what Hekana Flow does.

Questions

Do apps cost anything to install? Installing is free for the apps that are free or pay-per-use. Monthly apps show their price before you install.

Will I lose my data if I uninstall an app? The app stops and its settings are removed. Your products, orders and customers are not part of the app and are not touched. You can install the app again later.

Where do I see what I am paying for? Each app's page shows its pricing, and every charge comes out of your store wallet.
