Agentic storefront: add an AI shopper to your Hekana store

Two earlier guides cover the customer's side of AI shopping: how your store sells through ChatGPT and Claude and how a customer shops a Hekana store with an assistant. This one is for you, the store owner. It covers the Agentic Commerce app in your dashboard: what you switch on, what it costs, and what you can see afterwards.

The app does two separate things:

1. Lets outside AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT use your store. They search your products, prepare a basket and follow an order.
2. Adds an AI shopper to your own store. A chat panel opens from an icon on your storefront and helps a visitor find products.

Is it available on my store?

The Agentic Commerce app does not show in every store's App Store. It appears for stores Hekana has switched it on for. To get it for yours, contact us. General steps for installing and managing any app are in the Hekana apps guide.

What it costs

• Connecting assistants, product discovery and orders are free. The dashboard says so on the AI shopper card.
• The AI shopper chat costs 199 EGP per month, charged from your store wallet, on top of your plan.
• Your plan must include it. The AI shopper is part of Growth, Business, Advanced and Enterprise. On Free and Starter the page shows Your plan does not include the AI shopper.
• Each plan has a monthly message limit for the chat: 500 messages on Growth, 1,000 on Business, Advanced and Enterprise.

If you cancel, the AI shopper keeps working until the end of the period you paid for, then turns off. If a monthly charge fails, add money to your wallet: the charge is retried automatically and the AI shopper stays off until it goes through.

Set it up in four steps

The app opens with a checklist called Set up Agentic Commerce.

1. Choose what AI assistants can do. Switch on at least one.
2. Subscribe to the AI shopper. 199 EGP per month, on top of your plan.
3. Choose the icon style. Pick a style, position and colours for the icon on your storefront.
4. Show the icon on your store and check it. Turn the icon on, then open your store.

Under Chat panel you can also set the Panel title, a Welcome message and Suggested questions a visitor can tap. Leave a field empty to keep the default.

The storefront icon is off by default, so nothing changes on your store until you turn it on. Designing the icon needs a higher plan on some tiers; the page tells you when it is locked.

What assistants may do

Under What assistants may do there are four separate switches. They apply to every connected assistant, and turning the app off stops all of them.

• Browse products: search your published products, prices and availability.
• Prepare a basket: build a checkout priced by your store, with delivery fees and discounts.
• Place orders: turn a ready basket into a cash-on-delivery order. This needs basket preparation to be on.
• Track orders: read the status and tracking number of orders they placed.

An assistant never sets a price: your store prices the basket, with your stock, discounts and delivery fees, and the order lands in your Orders like any other. It also never sees your cost prices, your draft products or how many units you hold.

Connect an assistant of your own

In Connect an assistant you get two addresses: the MCP address, used by Claude and other MCP assistants, and the ACP address (ChatGPT). Give the assistant one of them and a key made on the same page: type a Key name (for example Claude) and press Create key.

The key is shown once. Copy it straight away. If you lose it, revoke it and make a new one; revoking stops that assistant at once.

Keys need a plan that includes API access, which is Business and above.

What the chat on your store does

The visitor taps the icon and asks for what they want. The AI shopper searches your products, shows the ones that match and, when the visitor is ready, prepares a checkout and gives them a link. The visitor opens your store's own checkout, picks their governorate and confirms the order there. The chat does not take the order or the payment itself.

How to read the results

The app shows the Last 30 days: Baskets, Orders, Sales and the share that Became orders, with a breakdown by key. Cancelled orders are not counted in sales. Before any assistant has used your store, it says No assistant has used your store yet.

Questions

Do I have to pay 199 EGP to let Claude or ChatGPT use my store? No. Connecting assistants, product discovery and orders are free. The 199 EGP per month is for the AI shopper chat on your own storefront.

Which plans include the AI shopper? Growth, Business, Advanced and Enterprise. Free and Starter do not.

What happens when the monthly messages run out? The chat has a limit per calendar month set by your plan: 500 messages on Growth and 1,000 on Business and above. When it is used up, the chat stops answering new messages until the next month.

Can the chat or an assistant change my prices? No. Your store prices every basket.

Will it show products I have not published? No. It sees published products, their prices and availability only.
