Offers that grow sales without eating the margin
Every store needs to run offers. The hard part isn't creating the coupon, it's what happens afterwards: a coupon meant for a hundred uses gets used a hundred and fifty times, or one customer uses it twenty times. Here the caps aren't a number written on a record — they're claimed inside the same transaction that writes the order, so an order arriving after the last available use is rejected rather than waved through.
The kinds of offer
Coupon codes
A percentage or a fixed amount off, with a minimum order value if you want one. Set a start and end date, and pause or resume a coupon at any time without deleting it.
Automatic discounts
A discount that applies to the basket on its own, with no code for the customer to type — useful for things like a first-order discount or an offer on one category, without depending on the customer knowing a code.
Time-limited offers
An offer that runs on specific products for a specific window and ends by itself. This is what you use for Black Friday or end-of-season clearance.
Caps that hold
A cap on total uses and a cap per customer. Both are re-checked inside the order transaction itself, so if ten orders arrive in the same second and one use is left, exactly one of them gets it.
How it works
Create the offer
Dashboard → Discounts: pick the type, the value, and the conditions.
Set the limits
Minimum order value, number of uses, and start and end dates.
Publish it
Send a coupon code out to your customers; an automatic discount just starts working on the store.
Watch the result
The analytics screen shows how many times each coupon was used and what it brought in.
Who this is for
- Stores running seasonal offers that need to know exactly what an offer earned.
- Any merchant working with influencers who wants a separate code for each one.
- Stores that want to encourage a first order without discounting for regulars.
- Anyone who has been burnt before by a coupon used past its limit.
Common questions
Can I make a coupon for one customer only?
You can set the total usage cap to one, so the first person to use it closes it.
Is the discount applied before or after shipping?
The discount applies to the value of the products. Shipping is calculated separately from your shipping settings.
Can I create many coupons at once?
Yes — there's a bulk creation screen for when you need a large batch of codes.
If I pause a coupon, are past orders affected?
No. Pausing only stops new uses. Orders already placed stay exactly as they are.
